Fellow Rotarians: 

Our District Conference is scheduled for April 18^th and 19^th and is shaping up to be an exciting event with focus on many of the Governor’s priorities outlined last year as she accepted the change of gavel from Ian Cosh.

We will begin on Friday promptly at 3PM with opening remarks by DG Susan Aldridge and Walter Coleman, renowned NFL Official and motivational speaker.  Our day will continue with our normal business meeting and conclude with a fun night for everyone at the Mid America Science Museum.  We will have free access to all of the museum’s exhibits plus we will also share in fellowship at a reception in honor of RI President’s Representative, David Benson.  Complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks will be served along with hors D’oeuvres.  This evening’s event is provided free of charge for all Rotarians and their families.

Our Saturday will kick off at 9AM and continue with welcome comments from our Governor and the RI President’s Representative.  This will be followed with sessions on the Foundation, Membership Awards, GSE teams from Argentina and the Philippines and Interact and Rotaract Clubs.  This year’s theme is “Rotary Shares”.  We will highlight clubs and their story of how Rotary’s theme is carried out in their club as they service their communities.

Saturday night will be special.  A double entree dinner will be enjoyed by all followed by our recognition of the first graduating class of the Jeff Farris Leadership Academy.  Of course, closing comments by our visiting dignitaries and the passing of the gavel to Jim Davis will conclude the event.

This year we have a single, bundled price of $95.00 which covers ALL events at the conference; a new approach this year.  You can still purchase tickets on an ala cart basis but doing so will be a bit more expensive.  I urge you to register early and prepare for a grand event filled with goodwill and fellowship among Rotarians.
