Mid America PETS for Presidents Elect |
| |
|
Mid-America PETS Scheduled for March 17-18, 2006 |
| |
|
Peabody Hotel, Little Rock, Arkansas
By District Governor-Elect, Ian Cosh
You will want to put these dates on your club’s calendar right now! The second Mid-America Presidents-Elect Training Seminar (MAPETS) is going to be outstanding. Attendance at the event will enhance the inherent leadership abilities of those selected to lead their Rotary Club in the coming year by providing a thorough grasp of the basic fundamentals of a successful Rotary Club. From this training, Presidents-Elect will be inspired and capable of doing the best possible job as a club leader.
Attendance at P.E.T.S. is now required by Rotary International for all Presidents-Elect in order to serve as President of a Rotary Club. If you cannot attend Mid-America P.E.T.S., then with the district governor-elect’s permission, you may attend a P.E.T.S. in another region.
Some topics to be discussed include: Roles and Responsibilities of Presidents-Elect, Membership Goals and Retention, Service Projects, and the Rotary Foundation. Excellent facilitators will conduct the sessions, and Rotary International Past President Frank Devlyn and Rotary International Director Robert Stuart will inspire you with their presentations.
You will not want to miss this opportunity to meet with Presidents-Elect from four districts and to hear their goals and plans. I look forward to seeing you there.
Why not get a head start now by reviewing some of the materials on the Mid-America PETS web site and check back often as the information is updated for the 2006 sessions.
Ian Cosh District Governor-Elect (2006-2007) Rotary District 6170
