Pamela B. Gibson is an attorney in private practice with the Benton law firm
of Gibson & Gibson, P.A. She pursues a general law practice with emphasis on
Family Law, Health Law, Probate, and Real Estate.
Before entering private practice Ms. Gibson served as an Associate General
Counsel with the University of Arkansas system where she had extensive
experience dealing with medical-legal issues for the UAMS teaching hospital
including working with patient advance directives, living wills and consent-totreatment
cases. She also conducted numerous training sessions for health care
professionals in medical-legal issues, record keeping and related subjects.
She is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where she
earned her Bachelor of Arts (1972, majoring in Political Science) and Masters in
Public Administration (1976). From 1976 to 1999, Ms. Gibson held various
positions with the State of Arkansas and the University of Arkansas where she
was engaged in providing training and technical assistance to cities, counties, and
the various divisions and campuses of the University of Arkansas. Ms. Gibson
has extensive experience as a member of the lobbying team for the University of
Arkansas. While earning her J.D., with honors, from the University of Arkansas
at Little Rock School of Law in 1989, Ms. Gibson served as the Editor-in-Chief of
the UALR Law Journal.
Ms. Gibson is licensed to practice before the Arkansas Supreme Court, the
United States District Courts in Arkansas and the United States Court of Appeals
for the Eight Circuit. She is a Sustaining Member and Foundation Fellow of the
Arkansas Bar Association where she also serves as Secretary of the Health Law
Section, member of the Family Law Section and the Technology Committee. She
is past-President of the Saline County Bar Association, and a current member of
the American Bar Association. She is active in community and civic affairs and
is currently serving as a member of the Planning Commission for the City of
Benton, Arkansas, and as an Assistant District Governor for Rotary International
District 6170. She has also served as Club Secretary, Club Vice President, and Club
President of the Benton/Bauxite Club. Pam also is a Paul Harris Fellow.
