USCC ROTARACT CONFERENCE TO BE HOSTED BY U of O ROTARACT CLUB The 2003 United States, Canada, Caribbean Rotaract Conference will be hosted by the University of the Ozarks Rotaract Club on June 12-15,2003, according to Rotaract President Dewayne Lambert. The 2003 conference will mark the 10 th anniversary of the USCC Conference and attendees have been invited to Arkansas to join Arkansans who will be celebrating our 167 th year of statehood.
President Lambert and the host club expect over 200 attendees from the US, Canada, Virgin Islands and other Caribbean countries. Seventy-eight of the 412 clubs in the region are outside the US. According to Lambert the focus of the event will be on the community service aspect of Rotaract and will offer workshop sessions on leadership, service and club organization. In addition, entertainment will “Relive the Past” of Arkansas. District 6170 currently has five Rotaract Clubs in our area. These clubs are located at Arkansas Tech in Russellville, Cossatot in De Queen, Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, University of Central Arkansas in Conway and the College of the Ozarks in Clarksville.
Our goal is to have a Rotaract on every college campus in the district. |
