| Linda was invited to join Rotary in 1999 and served as Charter President of the Arkadelphia-sunrise Club 1999 through 2000. Linda served as International Avenue chair in her club and as an Assistant Governor for two years. She was District Governor 2005-06 and is currently serving as Membership Chair of her club. Linda has also served as Operations Chair of Mid America PETS and will be the Registratioin Chair for PETS in 2009.
Most of Linda's career was spent in the family insurance business and most recently retired as Executive Director of the Diamond Valley Chapter American Red Cross. She attended the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa and completed her degree at Henderson State University after moving to Arkansas in 1989. She retired as Executive Director of the Diamond Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross in August of 2000.
Active in community service Linda has served on boards of the local American Red Cross, Arkadelphia Chamber of commerce and Gruop Living, Inc. She continues to be an active volunteer with the American Red Cross locally, regionally as well as serves on the volunteer board of Community Counseling Services, Inc.
Linda and her husband Gaylen have 2 adult sons and daughters-in-law and 4 grandchildren. Linda enjoys traveling, bicycling, reading and quilting when she has spare time. |
